The Primary Club of Australia is continuing to spread itself into new areas of activity and relevance around the country. During the past year, the club approved many donations on behalf of the members of the Primary Club of Australia:
  • Chalmers Road School, Strathfield, $38.3k (softfall playground)
  • Touched by Olivia, Bega, $21k (community playground including a wheelchair merry-go-round)
  • Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, $39k (mobility bike for long term patients)
  • Port Phillip Special School, Port Melbourne, $15.7k (playground upgrade)
As you know, your Club imposes a $5 “fine” on members for each golden duck or “primary” scored by an Australian in any of the International fixtures played between countries from 1st June 2014 to 31st May 2015. A change in policy – well overdue Consistent with Cricket Australia’s policy on inclusiveness, we have for the first time this year included the Australian Women’s Team in our list of golden ducks. Only one such misadventure occurred in their calendar – Alex Blackwell in their ODI last August against Pakistan. The unfortunate downside of a World Cup winning year Coinciding with the renewed success enjoyed on the field, you will note that there were only 9 golden ducks by Australian cricketers (men and women) in international matches in the past 12 months, resulting in only $45 in ‘fines’ (tax deductible donations) on every member, down from the peak of 19 that we ‘enjoyed’ in 2010/11. As you can imagine, this will mean a significantly reduced balance in our Charity Trust….. unless you feel you can increase your voluntary donation to our charities, either via the recently-established Richie Benaud Memorial Fund or a general donation. Please support The Primary Club by either joining or renewing your membership and paying the fines (donations) for the upcoming financial year. please either visit our online membership form: Click here to join or to renew your Primary Club of Australia membership online or download our membership form: microsoft-word-icon  The Primary Club of Australia membership form (2015 update)     Payment methods available to renew your membership as follows:

Please remember that while the Club refers to ‘fines’, they are actually donations and you are under no obligation to pay them should you not wish to do so. Donations go into a trust fund, are fully tax deductible and are used entirely to meet our charitable objectives. While considering your donation to the Primary Club, we invite you to become a significant contributor by becoming a Golden Duck donor through an annual donation of $1,000 or more.
