President Jim Maxwell invited new Patron and Twelfth Man Mark Taylor to the podium to partake in what was the highlight of the morning – the induction of Daphne Benaud, the widow of former Primary Club of Australia Patron and Twelfth Man Richie Benaud, as a Life Member of the Primary Club of Australia.

Following the presentation, The Minister for Sport and frequent player of Marathon Cricket Stuart Laurence Ayres MP was introduced and he announced that the Government were donating $5000 towards Marathon Cricket.

The rest of the breakfast saw MC Mike Coward interviewing guest speakers Simon Katich and Fazeer Mohammed about the state of test cricket.

The breakfast concluded with Katie drawing the raffle – first prize – 30 mins in the ABC Commentary Box with Jim Maxwell.

We invite you to lock in this event next year .. and every year. Day One of the Sydney Test Match – the 3rd January.
