Golden Ducks [2014-15]

The Primary (or Golden Duck) theme has always been associated with our fundraising. Our members pay an annual subscription , however, when membership renewal notices are forwarded to them, they are also requested to pay tax deductable ‘fines’ (donations) of $5.00 per primary scored throughout the previous year by Australian players, Men and Women in Test Matches, One Day Internationals or Twenty20 matches. We update the pictures as often as a Primary occurs. Usually we’ll have two or three pictures up there. The rest can be found below. We also ask you to follow us on TWITTER – http://www.twitter.com/PrimaryClubAust  and see what others are saying about the Golden Ducks this season using the [hashtag] #GoldenDuck. Steyn has been reversing it in in the second spell and this time he traps him on the back foot. Maxwell was stuck in the crease and plays outside the line.. The umpire raises the finger 115/5

Pakistan Women in Australia T20I Series - 2nd T20I

Alex Blackwell

Australia Women v Pakistan Women

  • Played at Kerrydale Oval, Gold Coast
  • 31 August 2014 (20-over match)
http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/754795.html AJ Blackwell b Sania Khan 0 15.2 full and in the block-hole, gone! Excellent ball for the new batter, she casually brings her bat down but was way too late 107/4

Pakistan v Australia One Day Series

Aaron Finch

Pakistan v Australia ODI Series - 1st ODI

  • Played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium (neutral venue)
  • 7 October 2014 - day/night match (50-over match)
http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan-v-australia-2014/engine/match/727919.html AJ Finch c Ahmed Shehzad b Mohammad Irfan 0 0.1 and he's gone first ball! He slanted that full and wide, and he went hard at it but the ball sliced off the face of his bat and Ahmed Shehzad takes a good catch at point, diving to his right 0/1

Nathan Lyon

Pakistan v Australia Test Series

  • 2nd Test
  • Played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi (neutral venue)
  • 30,31 October, 1,2,3 November 2014 (5-day match)
NM Lyon c Azhar Ali b Zulfiqar Babar 0 88.3 82.2 kph, lbw appeal, becomes a bat-pad appeal as it pops to silly point, and it's been given out caught. It seemed to slide on with the angle as he pressed forward to defend, and that looked like pad onto bat and Azhar takes it after a bit of a juggle. Lyon doesn't review, and Pakistan have wrapped up the most dominant series victory possible. They are now No. 3 in the Test rankings. 246/10

World Cup Cricket

Shane Watson

ICC Cricket World Cup - 2nd match, Australia v England

  • Played at Melbourne Cricket Ground
  • 14 February 2015 - day/night match (50-over match)
http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-cricket-world-cup-2015/engine/match/656401.html SR Watson c †Buttler b Broad 0 7.4 140.9 kph, it just had to happen, right? MCG, big, raucous crowd, Broad is in his element! Terrific length and the line is impeccable on off stump. Brings the batsman forward and jags the ball away, steals the outside edge and the keeper does the rest. England are right back in it! 57/2

Mitchell Johnson

ICC Cricket World Cup - 2nd match, Australia v England

  • Played at Melbourne Cricket Ground
  • 14 February 2015 - day/night match (50-over match)
http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-cricket-world-cup-2015/engine/match/656401.html MG Johnson c Anderson b Finn 0 49.6 120.9 kph, at-trick for Finn, and a five- for! That's a third time a bowler has been two-in-two today and Finn is the only one to convert. It was back of a length, Johnson backed away and slapped it straight at mid-off. Has a wry smile on his face and the reason is that Australia have piled up 342! 342/9

James Faulkner

ICC Cricket World Cup - 32nd Match, Pool A: Australia v Sri Lanka

  • Played at Sydney
  • Mar 8, 2015 - day/night match (50-over match)
http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-cricket-world-cup-2015/engine/match/656461.html JP Faulkner run out (Mathews/Perera) 0 46.3 from Perera, in the slot again as Faulkner is obligated to get to the other end after he hears Watson's call. Drilled this to the fielder at cover, who is able to pick it up and throw it to Perera at the non-striker's, who is able to flick off the bails before Faulkner grounded his bat. Bonus wicket for Sri Lanka as Faulkner goes for a golden duck 338/6

Mitchell Starc

ICC Cricket World Cup - 32nd Match, Pool A: Australia v Sri Lanka

  • Played at Sydney
  • Mar 8, 2015 - day/night match (50-over match)
http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-cricket-world-cup-2015/engine/match/656461.html MA Starc run out (Perera/Mathews) 0 (from 0 bowls ... a Diamond DUCK !!) 49.4 Mathews to Johnson, hammers away this length delivery through long on, with Johnson wanting two from the get-go. The fielder in the deep pounces on this before sending in flat throw to Mathews, who is able to knock over the stumps before Starc had grounded his bat. The second run was never really on there, but you got to do what you got to do 374/9
