- We recognise high-achieving Australian athletes with a disability, who compete at an international standard and are widely regarded as an ambassador for their sport.
- Three Award finalists each receive a grant of $7,500 paid to the DGR-registered charity of their choosing for the provision of sporting and recreational facilities for people with a disability. (Image of five finalists in 2021/22 below)
