A Star Studded History

The Primary Club’s cricket team has been honoured to have hosted numerous Australian (and other) internationals over the years, a number of them at matches hosted at the club’s former ground in Dooralong, New South Wales.

One star-studded match that stood out includes the 1983 Governor’s XI v President’s XI fixture at the club’s ground at Dooralong.

The game featured a number of international stars, with the President's XI winning the match in the first innings with 228 runs, which included 96 runs from the Man opf the Match, Steve Rixon.

The match also attracted local media attention, which reported on the important event that helped raise $4,500 (equal to almost $15,000 today) for the Primary Club of Australia.
